Justina Kravcalyte is a fine art and architectural photographer based in Leipzig, Germany. Born in Lithuania, her international experiences eventually led her to settle in Leipzig in 2016. In 2022, she completed her professional qualification in industrial and architectural photography.
Her work explores the relationship between space, light, and atmosphere. Guided by patience and observation, she approaches photography as both a visual and emotional practice. Rather than documenting a subject quickly, she seeks the precise moment when form, light, and mood come together. This deliberate process allows her to create images that convey not only what a place looks like, but also how it feels.
"Photography is an emotional experience that becomes visible in my images. Understanding a place and its surroundings is fundamental to my process. I would rather wait hours for the right light and the right moment than spend those hours later searching through hundreds of photographs for the one image I intended to create."
